Keni Burke - You're The Best

The Bass player of the Burke family is most known for his song "Risin' To The Top" from the -82 album "Changes". This album from -81 features two even better tracks - "Let Somebody Love You" and the title track. Keni was a part of "The Invisble Man's Band" together with several members of the Burke family and the album from -79 is worth it's own post.

101 - Let Somebody Love You
102 - Gotta Find My Way Back In Your
103 - Love Is The Answer
201 - You're The Best
202 - Paintings Of Love
203 - Night Riders
204 - Never Stop Loving Me

The Hustle - The Italo Version

I will give you a sample of Talko .The second release on Babalu (BBL 1002) The instrumental B side is one of my favourite Italo-covers.

The Hustle (Instrumental)

What you should really look for is Talko's absolute Italo Classic on Babalu - Psycho Flash (BBL 1001).
It's one of the ultimate Italo classics. I think you can find it on some CD compilations. Maybe I will post it later here or somewhere else....

Rhyze - Rhyze To The Top

This is among the best albums ever if you like Soul Disco and Boogie. Released in 1981.
I don't think it has been released on CD (maybe in Japan) I think it's better than their other album from 1980 - "Just how sweet is your love"

The tracklist:
101 Rhyze To The Top
102 Give It Up (Give Me Your Love)
103 What Can I Do About This Feeling
104 Bizzaar
201 Tonight's Gonna Be My Night
202 Having Fun (Everybody's Having Fun)
203 Overtime
204 Party Of Parties
I'll give you 2 samples from this one.
I thought someone had memories from the samples I have posted here but they are probably all dead or to shy to leave some comments.

The Breakfast Band - Dolphin Ride

An old favourite of mine. From the height of the UK Jazz Funk Era came this international band. "A pioneering instrumental project embracing Caribbean influences which culminated in two albums and a dance hit single 'L.A. 14' plus several live tours both in Europe and Britain"

I'm lucky to have seen this great band live in London 1982. It adds a little spice to my listening experience.
I give you a sample, a rip from my old vinyl. It has been re-issued on vinyl and you can find it on CD here

Tokyo Shuffle
Jazzabel
Constant Spring
Tuna
Trinidad
Hadeed
LA 14
Prelude In Steel
Broadside Rhumba
